Alexandra (Alex) Moe was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and is a freelance writer. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, The Washington Post Magazine, New America Media, The Berkshire Eagle and other publications. 

She is the VP of Strategic Partnerships at Zeno Media, an audio platform linking diaspora audiences to global radio content. She has spoken about the role of diaspora media at forums and trainings sponsored by the U.S. Department of State throughout Europe. For several years she led writing workshops for incarcerated youth in Washington and California through a program called “The Beat Within.”   

A graduate of Williams College and Circle in the Square Theater School in New York, she is a jury member for the “Best Short Film on Sustainability: The Eric Moe Award,” through the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capitol and National Geographic.
